T3 President Hosts Egyptian Marketing CEO

AUSTIN, Texas - May 25, 2007 - Gay Gaddis, president and CEO of T3, hosted Randa Abdou, CEO of Marketing Mix in Cairo, Egypt, Monday and Tuesday as part of the mentoring component to the Women Business Leaders Summit (WBLS).

Designed to facilitate links between American, Jordanian and the broader Middle Eastern business communities, the summit, held Feb. 27 - March 2 in Amman, Jordan, partnered a select group of 50 American and 50 Arab women business leaders based on similarities in business practices or industries.

To kick-off the U.S. portion of WBLS, the Arab businesswomen visited their American partners' companies this week to exchange views on management styles and business skills.

Abdou's trip to Austin was spent learning about the U.S. advertising and marketing industry and T3's operations as a top independent ad agency.

During her two-day visit, she gained valuable insight from T3 staff who shared their work, job responsibilities and experience. She attended part of the iMedia Agency Summit, toured the T3 campus, sat in on several meetings and presentations and had a closing reception held in her honor.

Abdou was particularly interested in the leading interactive work T3 is currently developing. Egypt's seven percent Internet penetration is growing steadily, and she recognizes the future role interactive marketing will play in her company.

"I gained valuable insight about the technology and talent necessary to support interactive marketing services and the education that our clients will need about Internet capabilities," said Abdou.

She also shared her story, experience and company's creative work during an open lunch presentation to T3's staff.

To conclude the WBLS program, all participants rejoined in Washington, DC, Wednesday through Friday to meet with senior government officials and members of Congress and attend special program sessions at Georgetown University and a reception at the White House hosted by First Lady Laura Bush.

The summit was in partnership with the U.S. Department of State's Office for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs, led by Ambassador Karen Hughes and co-chaired by the Honorable Bonnie McElveen-Hunter, American Red Cross chairman, and Luma Kawar, wife of the former Jordanian Ambassador and founder of the International Women's Forum in Jordan.
