Press Releases
The Austin Advertising Federation announced the recipients of its annual Big Wig Awards Thursday, June 14. Gay Gaddis, T3 president and CEO, was named "Ad Person of the Year" by popular vote from industry peers.
The award was accepted on her behalf by her husband Lee, T3's COO, during the award's masquerade banquet at The Mansion at Judges' Hill. Gaddis was unable to attend as she was out of the country attending the ninth-annual Global Summit of Women in Berlin, Germany.
"Austin's creative community has provided a wonderful platform to grow a national business," said Gaddis. "I am honored to be recognized by the Austin Ad Fed among this city's outstanding group of industry professionals."
The Ad Fed presented awards in 32 categories including "Lifetime Achievement," "Silver Service" and "Educator of the Year."
"This year's winners have demonstrated an exceptional commitment to creativity and innovation in Austin's advertising and media industry. It's important to call out and thank these professionals in a significant way," said Stephanie Mermis, Awards Chair and a board of directors member for the Austin Ad Fed. "We only give awards to a limited number of people and companies, but our annual event is a way to remind everyone how much we value all the folks working tirelessly behind the scenes."
The Austin Ad Fed is Central Texas' leading professional association for advertisers, creative agencies, media companies, suppliers and academia.
